Dickinson held a 1-0 lead after the first half of action at Jamie L. Roberts Stadium. Emma Cooney gave the Red Devils their first goal of the season, striking a ball into the bottom left hand corner about half way through the opening 45 minutes of play.

Ella Raines paced the Seahawks in first half shots with two. Raines gave the Seahawks their best scoring opportunity in the 26th minute, but saw her center high shot get saved by Dickinson's Sophia Kavulich.

The Red Devils out shot the Seahawks 12-3 in the first 45 minutes of play.
