SALISBURY, Md. – First-year midfielder
Braden Kindred (Olney, Md./Sherwood) netted his first collegiate goal Saturday afternoon as the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's soccer team wrapped up action at Salisbury University's Elmer Lord Tournament. St. Mary's College (1-1-0) dropped a 5-1 decision to Rowan University (1-0-1) for its first loss of 2023.

- Rowan scored three goals in a 12-minute span to stake a 3-0 lead at halftime.
- The Profs stretched their lead to 4-0 in the 71st minute with a tally by Ryan Gale.
- Kindred put St. Mary's on the scoreboard at 73:46 as he finished off a pass from senior midfielder Lucca Mazzola (Pasadena, Md./Spalding).
- Rowan tacked on a fifth goal in the 90th minute to seal the win.
