St. Mary's City, MD- The St. Mary's College of Maryland Volleyball team (9-8) hosted United East Conference rival Gallaudet (15-4).The Seahawks fell to the Bison 3-0.

The Seahawks took an early lead in the set, jumping out in front 4-3. After being tied at nine, Gallaudet took over the momentum and raced out to a 21-11 lead. The Bison took set one, 25-14.

St. Mary's responded well in the second set, as the Bison and Seahawks traded points for a majority of the frame. St. Mary's found themselves tied at 15 with Gallaudet after a couple of Bison errors and a Stella Marrero service ace. Unfortunately for the Seahawks, Gallaudet would once again seize the momentum, taking a 2-0 lead in the match after a 25-19 set victory.

Gallaudet pounced on the Seahawks early in the third set, earning a 5-0 lead. Grace Gilmore got the Seahawk attack going with a kill, which sparked a run for St. Mary's. They rallied to tie the game nine after an Elizabeth Childs service run and a couple of Kaleigh Wiseman kills. The Bison were able to remain composed and recaptured the lead. Gallaudet never looked back from there and cruised to a 25-13 set victory.
