St. Mary's City, MD-- The St. Mary's College of Maryland Baseball Team (7-15) concluded their weekend series with the Wildcats of Penn College (16-16) with a Saturday doubleheader. The Seahawks fell in game one, 8-3, but bounced back in the second game, 8-0.Â

The Wildcats opened up the scoring in the top of the third with a two run inning.Â

Trevor Smith kept up his hot streak at the plate giving the Seahawks their first run of the game on a two out RBI single that sent home Cole Tarleton, who singled earlier in the inning.

St. Mary's tied the game in the bottom of the fifth with a solo home run from Derrick Booker.Â

Penn College added three more runs in the top of the sixth to take a 5-2 lead.

Trevor Smith connected on a lead off home run in the bottom of the sixth to cut the Wildcat lead to just two.Â

The Wildcats had a three run top of the seventh and held on to win 8-3 in the first game.

St. Mary's extended their lead to seven in the bottom of the seventh. Aaron Wathen and Garrett Pullium each picked up an RBI in the inning.
