ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's lacrosse team remained undefeated in United East Conference play with their second straight 24-goal victory Saturday afternoon (April 6). St. Mary's College (9-3, 3-0 UEC) picked up a 24-2 win over Bryn Athyn College (2-4, 0-2 UEC) as 18 Seahawks tallied at least one point.
How It Happened
- SMCM cruised to a 15-0 halftime advantage as sophomore attackman Joshua Martel (Linthicum, Md./North County) notched all six of his points in the first 30 minutes with five goals and an assist. Additionally, junior attackmen Keegan Preis (Upper Falls, Md./Loyola Blakefield) and Aiden Doyle (Arnold, Md./Broadneck) each chipped in four points. Preis handed out four apples while Doyle contributed a goal and three helpers.
- St. Mary's College opened the second half with five straight goals before Jamal White put the Lions on the scoreboard at 1:21 of the third quarter.
- Sophomore attackman Liam McNulty (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) and first-year midfielder Adrian Garcia (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) gave the Seahawks a 22-1 lead five minutes into the fourth quarter. White struck again for Bryn Athyn at 6:12 before first-years Declan Horton (University Park, Md./DeMatha) and Quinn McLaughlin (Fallston, Md./Fallston) scored the final two goals of the game.

- SMCM racked up 82 shots to the Lions' six while posting a 60-15 ground ball margin.
- Three different Seahawks combined for a 26-of-30 effort in face-offs. Sophomore Matteo Ciccarello (Crofton, Md./Arundel) went 18-of-20 while senior defenseman Brandon Dabkowski (Cockeysville, Md./Dulaney) was a perfect 5-for-5.
- Bryn Athyn committed 35 turnovers and was 8-of-30 in clears.

- Horton and junior midfielder Nate Hochrein (Towson, Md./Towson) each chipped in two goals and an assist. McNulty also had three points with a goal and two helpers.
- Ciccarello scooped up a game-best seven ground balls while Dabkowski finished with six.
- Senior defenseman Ethan Little (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) picked up four loose balls, including his 200th career ground ball, while causing three turnovers.
- First-year Ty Grove (Finksburg, Md./Saint John's Catholic Prep) played the first 30 minutes of the game with one save. Fifth-year Ben Robertson (Davidsonville, Md./South River) started the third and picked up a save while junior Cullen McKay (Urbana, Md./Urbana) saw action in the final 15 minutes in his first game since February 23.
