CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Senior attacker
Bella Dunigan (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville) put forth a three-goal, three-assist performance as the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's lacrosse team rolled to their third straight win Saturday afternoon (Apr. 6). St. Mary's College (7-5, 3-0 UEC) notched a 20-1 United East Conference road win over Wilson College (7-3, 1-1 UEC).
How It Happened
- The Seahawks jumped out to a 12-0 lead at 2:50 of the second quarter as eight different SMCM players found the back of the net. Dunigan contributed to the 12-0 run with a goal and three assists while junior attacker Ella Baynes (Baltimore, Md./Catholic HS) recorded her second hat trick as a Seahawk with three goals. Junior midfielder Madison Laine (Kingsville, Md./Mercy) also tallied three points in the run with two scores and one dime.
- St. Mary's College headed into halftime with a 12-1 lead as Emily Young put Wilson on the scoreboard with a woman-up goal with 1:05 left in the half.
- Dunigan and sophomore attacker Katelin Scala (Catonsville, Md./Mount de Sales) led the Seahawks' 8-0 run in the second half with two goals each while senior captain MC Mortimer (Baltimore, Md./Friends) dished out two assists and junior attacker Hailey Betch (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) added a goal and a helper.

- The shot margin was 39-7 in favor of SMCM while the Seahawks notched a 22-8 advantage in ground balls behind a season-best six loose ball pickups by senior captain Rachael Freeman (Baltimore, Md./Friends).
