St. Mary's City, MD – The St. Mary's College of Maryland Women's Tennis Team (5-4) matched up with the Wildcats of Penn College for their second straight United East Conference Contest. The Seahawks cruised to a 9-0 win.

How It Happened:

Doubles

• Emily Shioutakon and Cleopatra Solmon opened things up with a 8-2 win in the number one singles match. 

• Lauren Lovejoy and Giselle Harris competed in the number two doubles match, winning 8-1.

• Blessing Samuel and Melak Armstrong earned a 8-0 victory in the number three doubles match.

Singles 

• Cleopatra Solomon defeated her Wildcat opponent in the number one singles match, 6-2, 6-1.

• Emily Shioutakon kept the momentum going in the number two singles contest, winning 6-1, 6-2.

• Giselle Harris was triumphant in the number three singles match, winning 6-4, 6-0.

• Lauren Lovejoy won both sets 6-0 in the  number four singles contest.

• Melak Armstrong cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 victory in the number five singles match.

• Blessing Samuel finished things off for the Seahawks with a 6-0, 6-0 dominant victory in the number six singles contest.
