Harrisburg, PA-- The St. Mary's College of Maryland Baseball Team (12-20) continued United East Conference Tournament play with a matchup with the Lancaster Bible College Chargers (21-17-1). The Seahawks defeated the Chargers 14-2 to earn a matchup with the tournament's top seed Penn State Harrisburg (34-7) The Seahawks fell 10-2 in their matchup with the Nittany Lions.Â

St. Mary's started off the game fast with a five run top of the first. Ian Walters, Aaron Wathen, and Garrett Pullium all hit RBI singles, while Trevor Smith registered an RBI double.Â

Trevor Smith recorded another RBI in the top of the second after a fielder's choice scored Chase O'Dell, who singled earlier in the inning.

Lancaster Bible scored their first run of the ball game in the bottom of the second.

Ian Walters and Trevor Smith recorded back to back RBI's in the top of the fourth. Walters scored O'Dell from third on a sac fly, while Trevor Smith's single allowed Cole Tarleton to reach home as well.Â

The Chargers added another run in the bottom of the fourth to make it 8-2.

The Seahawks got the offense going again in the top of the seventh when they added four more runs to their tally. Derrick Booker, Chase O'Dell, Cole Tarleton, and Aaron Wathen all contributed RBi singles in the inning.

Cole Tarleton put the cherry on top of a Seahawk 14-2 victory on a two run home run in the top of the eighth. St. Mary's advanced to take on Penn State Harrisburg.Â

Penn State Harrisburg scored the first two runs of the game in the bottom of the first.

Trevor Smith doubled to kick off the top of the second and advanced to third to set up Layne Lesko. Lesko grounded out to third, but Smith was able to score to give the Seahawks their first run of the day.

The Seahawks struck again in the top of the fifth after several scoreless innings from both teams. Derrick Booker connected on a one out triple to get into scoring position. Chase O'Dell was able to send a ball far enough to right field to allow Booker to tag from third to make it a 2-2 ball game.

Penn State Harrisburg added one run in the bottom of the fifth to recapture the lead.

The Nittany Lions would go on to pull away in the bottom of the seventh and eight innings, scoring seven unanswered runs to end the game. Penn State Harrisburg took home the Volt Division Title, defeating the Seahawks 10-2.Â
