Greensboro, N.C. — The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's basketball team dropped an 88–71 decision to undefeated Guilford College on Sunday afternoon at Ragan-Brown Field House.

St. Mary's College battled early, but Guilford built momentum in the opening half, using a strong second quarter to take a 55–28 lead into halftime. The Seahawks struggled to find rhythm offensively in the first two periods, shooting just 8-of-28 from the floor before the break.

The Seahawks showed resilience coming out of halftime, putting together their strongest stretch of the game in the third quarter. St. Mary's shot over 64 percent in the period and outscored Guilford 21–10, trimming the deficit behind aggressive play in the paint and improved ball movement.

Keira Mason led all scorers with a career-high 31 points, adding 17 rebounds for a double-double performance. Samantha Blaylock provided a spark off the bench, knocking down four three-pointers on her way to 14 points. Olivia Liszt and Rayna Miller each grabbed eight rebounds as St. Mary's won the battle on the glass, 44–37.

Despite the strong third-quarter surge, Guilford responded in the fourth with timely three-point shooting and fast-break opportunities to pull away down the stretch. The Quakers finished the game shooting over 60 percent from beyond the arc.

St. Mary's moves to 7–5 on the season and will look to build on this performance tomorrow when they take on Piedmont
