Box Score Allentown, PA-- The St. Mary's College of Maryland Women's Basketball Team (14-7) took on the Falcons of Cedar Crest College (7-8) for an away United East Conference matchup. The Seahawks came out on top 56-54.Â

St. Mary's led Cedar Crest 11-10 after a low scoring first quarter of play. Olivia Liszt led the way offensively for the Seahawks, chipping in seven points over the first 10 minutes of play. Sam Blaylock knocked down a three pointer for the Seahawks as well.Â

The Seahawks began to find their mojo on the offensive side of the basketball in the second quarter and led by as much as eight midway through the quarter following a made Tramarie Mobray lay up. Cedar Crest fought back and even reclaimed the lead at one point, but a last minute Sam Blaylock jumper gave St. Mary's a 27-25 lead at half time.Â

The Falcons and Seahawks traded the lead several times to start the new half before Cedar Crest eventually took control and grew a seven point advantage, their largest of the game. Tramarie Mobray and Saffiyah Gibson each put in a basket to end the quarter to trim the Falcon lead to three.Â

The Seahawks scored the first six points of the fourth quarter to take a three point lead with seven minutes to go. Cedar Crest got the game back to within one with five minutes left, but could never quite catch St. Mary's. The Falcons cut the Seahawk lead to one possession several times, but Keira Mason, Rayna Miller, and Sam Blaylock were all clutch from the free throw line down the stretch. The Seahawks held on to win 56-54.Â
