Box Score St. Mary's City, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's soccer team (1-0) kicked off the 2025 season in strong fashion, securing a 3–1 victory over Neumann University (0-1) on Friday evening at Jamie L. Roberts Stadium in the opening day of the Seahawk Classic.
The Seahawks wasted little time finding the back of the net, striking twice in the opening 12 minutes. Gracie Tourangeau opened the scoring in the 11th minute off a setup from Keira O'Neail, before Allie Petryszak doubled the lead just over a minute later with a finish assisted by Ashlyn Bonner.
Neumann cut the deficit before halftime with a goal from Marisa Nicolucci in the 39th minute, but the Seahawks' defense stood firm the rest of the way.
In the second half, Brooke Hall provided the insurance tally in the 79th minute, again with Bonner picking up the assist—her second of the night.
St. Mary's finished with a 12–6 advantage in shots and a 7–3 margin in corner kicks. Goalkeeper Kyleigh Bland recorded four saves to earn the victory. Petryszak, Tourangeau, and Hall each netted their first goals of the season to lead the offense.
With the win, the Seahawks move to 1–0 on the season and will return to action tomorrow for the second game of the annual Seahawk classic where they will match up with 20th ranked TCNJ.
