Women's Soccer Blanks Wilson 6-0

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. — The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's soccer team recorded a dominant 6-0 victory over Wilson College Wednesday afternoon at Jamie L. Roberts Stadium.

The Seahawks (4-6-3, 3-1-0 UEC) scored three goals in each half while limiting the Phoenix (2-10-1, 1-3-0 UEC) to no shots in the contest.

Charlotte Bryan opened the scoring in the ninth minute, finishing a pass from Jill Kemp at 8:52. Addison Campbell doubled the advantage, again assisted by Kemp, before Oliviah Walton added a third goal at 37:57 to give St. Mary's a 3-0 lead at halftime.

The Seahawks continued their offensive pressure after the break. Allie Petryszak scored just 53 seconds into the second half, converting another Kemp assist. Alexandra Sarrach followed to push the lead to five.

Mollie Chiarizia capped the scoring in the 90th minute, finding the net off an assist from Walton.

Kemp finished with three assists, while Bryan, Campbell, Petryszak, Sarrach, Walton and Chiarizia each scored once. Walton added an assist to complete a two-point performance.

St. Mary's outshot Wilson 48-0 and held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks. Wilson goalkeeper Bella Scarlato made 13 saves, while the Seahawks split goalkeeping duties between Breanna Brown and Alexa Holmes to preserve the shutout.

The Seahawks return to action Saturday, Oct. 10, when they travel to Penn College for a 2 p.m. United East Conference matchup.
