OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – St. Mary's College of Maryland Director of Athletics & Recreation Crystal Gibson will be one of six panelists on the webinar, "Women in Small College Athletics: A Virtual Networking & Sharing Idea Sharing Event," on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 2 PM.
 
The online seminar is being put on by the Business of Small College Athletics (BOSCA) to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day, which takes place annually during the first week of February and this year falls on Feb. 4.
 
"To sit on this panel as a former athlete, a former coach, and now an athletic director feels full circle. National Girls and Women in Sports Day represents the doors that were opened for me through sport—and the responsibility we have to keep opening those doors for the next generation of girls and women," Gibson stated.
 
The United East Conference will be well represented on the panel as Dr. Ashley Wagner, the Director of Athletics and Wellness at Notre Dame of Maryland University, will be joining Gibson as one of the six administrators on the web event. The administrators represent institutions from NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III.
 
The web event is designed for women working as administrators in small college athletic departments. It will be an informal opportunity to network and discuss current issues in collegiate athletics.
 
The one-hour event will feature 30-35 minutes of small group breakouts led by the six administrators before reconvening as a large group for the final 15 minutes.
