B.S. in Criminal Justice - York College of Pennsylvania (2020)

Sam Keating joined the St. Mary's College athletics staff as the first full-time assistant field hockey coach and assistant director of athletic communications in August 2021. Defensive tactics and goalkeeper training are Keating's areas of expertise on the field.

The Annapolis, Md., native joins the St. Mary's College community after coaching field hockey at West York High School as well as the Ballyhoo Field Hockey Club located in York, Pa.

Keating played four years of collegiate field hockey at York College of Pennyslvania (2016-2019). During her time as the Spartans' goalkeeper, she earned Capital Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week and Synapse Sports Division III Defensive Player of the Week honors while landing on the YCP Field Hockey All-Decade Team. Keating finished her career ranked inside the top-5 in program history in goals-against average (1.72) and shutouts (7).

She also shined in the classroom earning four straight NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad distinctions and four CAC All-Academic Squad honors.
