Satchel Ball joined the Seahawks men's basketball coaching staff prior to the 2025-26 season.

Ball is coming off a one-year stint as the freshman head coach and varsity assistant coach at his alma mater, North Point HS in Waldorf. He additionally served as a summer league coach at North Point for four summers.

The La Plata, Md., native owns Satchel Ball Shot Training, tailoring individual goals for each middle and high school athlete to match their skill set and improve their game. For the last six years, Ball has served as director of operations for the Little Eagles Basketball Camp in Waldorf.

He started his collegiate playing career at College of Southern Maryland before transferring to Division II Shippensburg University for his last three years (2021-24). The 6-2 guard saw action in 63 games with six starts, scoring 181 points, grabbing 102 rebounds and dishing out 81 assists. Ball posted a career .379 field goal percentage and a .731 free throw percentage while making nearly 30-percent of his three-pointers.

During the day, Ball works as a classroom facilitator at North Point.
