Ashley Welch '23 joined the Seahawks coaching staff right after completing her four-year career at SMCM.

Welch, a defensive specialist during her time at St. Mary's College, racked up 243 digs in three seasons as her sophomore campaign was canceled by COVID. She also added 32 assists and 30 service aces. Off the court, Welch demonstrated academic excellence as a two-time United East Scholar-Athlete.

The California, Md., native graduated from SMCM in May 2023 with a bachelor of arts in psychology with a minor in special education.
