ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - Due to health and safety protocols, Hood College has pulled out of this weekend's Battle of Maryland/DC men's basketball tournament being hosted by St. Mary's College of Maryland on Saturday and Sunday (Nov. 13-14). With Hood now out of the tournament, this weekend's schedule has been adjusted.
On Saturday, there will be just one game at 2:00 p.m. in the Michael P. O'Brien Athletics & Recreation Center (MPOARC) Arena between The Catholic University of America and Gallaudet University, with the Gallaudet Bison serving as the 'home' team.
On Sunday, the Seahawks will face the winner of Catholic-Gallaudet at 2:00 p.m.
Tickets for all St. Mary's College men's and women's basketball games are $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens while children under 5 are free.
However, this weekend, if you bring two items for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Canned Food Drive, admission will be FREE.
Per the
St. Mary's College Fall/Winter 2021 Spectator Policy, for all indoor home athletic events, campus visitors must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and be able to present proof of vaccination upon request by College officials. If campus visitors are not vaccinated or cannot show proof of vaccination, they must present proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival to campus. Masks must be worn indoors at all times. No food or drink will be allowed inside of the Michael P. O'Brien Athletics & Recreation Center (
