ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's basketball team kept rolling through the United East Conference Friday afternoon, picking up their sixth consecutive victory. St. Mary's College (8-5, 7-0 UEC) posted a 79-65 triumph over the Penn State Abington Nittany Lions (8-9, 2-6 UEC) to clinch the season series, having earned a 63-50 road victory over Abington just 11 days ago (Jan. 17).
How It Happened
- St. Mary's College never trailed as the Seahawks opened a nine-point lead (22-13) at 10:33 on a three-pointer by senior guard Seth Jones (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore Polytechnic Institute). First-year forward Isaiah Eggleston (Rocky Mount, Va./Carlisle School) hit a pair of triples in the run as Jones and Eggleston combined for 13 points.
- A Zack Semmler three-point shot two minutes later capped a quick 8-4 run and pulled the Nittany Lions within five.
- The gap would shrink no more for Abington as the Seahawks closed the half by outscoring the visitors, 19-13, to take a 45-34 lead into the locker room at halftime.
- The Nittany Lions scored the first four points of the second stanza to make it a seven-point game before back-to-back long-range shots by Eggleston handed St. Mary's College a double-digit margin for the final 18 minutes of the contest.

- All five starters scored in double figures as the Seahawks shot a season-best 54.5-percent from the floor for the game, including 57.1-percent in the first half, and knocked down nine three-pointers for the second straight game.
- St. Mary's College picked up 36 points in the paint as well as 24 points off 19 Nittany Lions turnovers.
- Eggleston paced the Seahawks with a game-best 17 points as he hit a season-high four triples while first-year guards Elijah Crawford (Oxon Hill, Md./Potomac) and Duane Mason Jr. (Temple Hills, Md./Potomac) each tallied 13 points. Mason led the team with seven rebounds while Crawford added six.
- Junior guard Daryn Alexander (Twinbrook, Md./Richard Montgomery) collected a dozen points while Jones finished with 11 points and a game-best five assists.
- Senior forward Cameron Rucker (Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook) was the last Seahawk to score in double digits as Rucker chipped in 10.
- Abington edged the Seahawks on the glass, 33-31, as Brian Randolph III grabbed a game-best 11 rebounds and completed the double-double with a team-best 13 points.
