Women's Soccer Concludes Regular Season at Salisbury

Salisbury, MD. - The St. Mary's College of Maryland Women's Soccer Team (6-7-3) made the trip across the Chesapeake Bay to take on Salisbury University (10-5-2) in a midweek non-conference tilt. The Seahawks fell to the Seagulls, 2-0.

How it Happened

  • The Seahawks were trailing the Seagulls 1-0 after the first half of play. 

  • Salisbury's Alexandra Gagliardi found the back of the net in the 28th minute. Lauren Spelman picked up the assist.

  • Salisbury outshot St. Mary's 9-1 in the opening 45 minutes of play. 

  • Kyle Wells had four first half saves.

  • Ella Raines took the lone shot for the Seahawks. 

  • The Seahawks were able to keep the Seahawks from adding another tally for the first 30 minutes of the second half. 

  • Alex Jankowski broke the second half scoring drought and gave the Seagulls a 2-0 lead with 15 minutes left in the game.  

  • St. Mary's could not find the back of the net and ended up dropping the game 2-0.
