ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's lacrosse team found the back of the net 24 times Saturday evening, marking the fifth time this season that the Seahawks have scored 20 or more goals in a game. St. Mary's College (7-4) notched its second straight victory as they defeated the visiting Bridgewater (Va.) College Eagles (4-2), 24-5, at the Jamie L. Roberts Stadium.
Today's contest not only pitted St. Mary's against the Eagles but also the Martel brothers battled for bragging rights. First-year attackman

Chris Martel stepped on the field for Bridgewater. Both Martels finished the game with three goals, but it is younger brother, Joshua, with the bragging rights.
How It Happened
- The Seahawks jumped out to a 10-0 lead with 12:59 left in the second quarter and never looked back.
- Bridgewater slowed the bleeding with three unanswered goals, including a pair from C. Martel, to trim the deficit to 10-3 with 8:48 remaining in the first half.
- St. Mary's responded with 12 straight to stretch its lead to 19 goals with 12:17 to go in the game.
- The two teams split the game's final four goals as the Eagles sandwiched a two Seahawk scores.

- Fourteen different Seahawks found the back of the net.
- St. Mary's outshot the Eagles, 58-29, while gaining a 47-35 edge in ground balls.
- The Seahawks won 18 of 32 face-offs as senior Mitch Boudreau (Towson, Md./Towson) went 10-for-15 at the X and first-year Matteo Ciccarello (Crofton, Md./Arundel) won 8-of-17. Both scooped up a team-best five ground balls.

- Sophomore attackman Aiden Doyle (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) led all scorers with a game-high seven points on four goals and three assists.
- J. Martel and sophomore midfielder Drew Goldscheider (Pikesville, Md./Beth Tfiloh) each tallied a three-goal hat trick. It was a career-best performance for Goldscheider.
- Sophomore attackman Keegan Preis (Upper Falls, Md./Loyola Blakefield) finished the game with a goal and game-best three helpers.
- Sophomores Quinnten Hatfield (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) and Jeremy Heath (Chester, Md./Kent Island) each recorded four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
- Senior goalie Ben Robertson (Davidsonville, Md./South River) made nine stops in the first 45 minutes of the game.
Bridgewater Game Notes
- C. Martel paced the Eagles with three goals while Gabriel Alexander won eight face-offs and picked up seven loose balls.
- Ian Cook turned away nine shots in 27 minutes of relief.
