The Nittany Lions answered back the next half inning with three runs of their own. The Nittany Lions held a 3-1 advantage after the first three innings.Â

The Seahawks continued their home run hot streak in the top of the fourth inning when Gavin Wathen hit a two run shot to give St. Mary's their fourth run of the day. Auber scored earlier in the inning as well on a fielding error by the Nittany Lions. Just when it felt like the Seahawks were going to build on a lead, Penn State Abington answered back and retook the lead. The Nittany Lions held a 5-4 edge going into the fifth.

The Seahawks and Nittany Lions would continue to trade runs back and forth over the middle innings. Penn State Abington came through with a five run fifth inning to take a 9-4 lead. As they had all game, the Seahawks responded right back with a four run inning of their own. Chase O'Dell brought two runners home on an RBI single to the left hand side that sent two runners home. Ian Walters would also record an RBI on a sacrifice fly to bring St. Mary's back to within one. Despite the positive momentum, Penn State Abington scored the next five runs to take a 14-8 lead into the eighth inning.Â

Abington continued to walk batters with the bases loaded and the Seahawks kept capitalizing thanks to great plate discipline. With the lead now down to just two with two outs, Cole Tarleton made the play of the season thus far for the Seahawks, hitting a go ahead grand slam to give St. Mary's a two run advantage.Â
