Seahawks Baseball Falls in Weather Shortened Contest

St. Mary's City, MD-- The St. Mary's College of Maryland Baseball Team (6-10) hosted the Nittany Lions of Penn State Harrisburg (19-5) in a pivotal United East Conference Matchup. The game ended after five innings with the Nittany Lions coming out victorious, 15-1.

How It Happened

  • Penn State Harrisburg came out of the gate fast, building a 7-0 lead over the course of the first three innings. St. Mary's was able to get some offense going in the top of the fourth thanks to a lead off Cole Tarleton double, followed by a George Berbakos RBI single that allowed Tarleton to score from second.

  • The game was called in the bottom of the fifth due to inclement weather. The Nittany Lions would take game one of their weekend three game series by a final score of 15-1.
