Jason Caro (Lanham, Md./Good Counsel) picked up tournament MVP honors as the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's soccer team claimed the Seahawk Classic title Sunday afternoon. St. Mary's College (3-1-0) earned a 4-1 victory over Cabrini University (2-3) behind two goals and an assist from fifth-year forward
Zack Glime (Annapolis, Md./Key) and two Caro assists.
How It Happened
- Glime and Caro connected for the Seahawks first two goals of the game, scoring them four minutes apart.
- Glime's first goal of the afternoon was a beauty as he used a bicycle kick to put away Caro's chip pass in the 15th minute.
- Four minutes later, Caro slotted a diagonal pass and Glime finished at the far post for his fourth goal of the season.
- Cabrini cut its deficit in half before the break as John Ameyaw put away a misplayed clear at the near post in the 32nd minute.
- Senior midfielder Luke Duswalt (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown) returned a two-goal advantage to St. Mary's as Duswalt put back the rebound from Glime's shot which hit the post.
- Junior forward Elliot Hodges (Rockville, Md./Avalon) tacked on an insurance goal in the 84th minute when Hodges put back the rebound from his penalty kick attempt which was saved by MJ Graham.

- St. Mary's finished the game with a 29-14 (10-8 on goal) shot advantage.
- The Cavaliers edged the hosts, 5-4, in corner kicks.
St. Mary's College Game Notes
- First-year Zack Reed (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown) made his collegiate debut in his first career start for the Seahawks. Reed finished the game with six saves for his first career win.
- Glime's five-point performance is a career-high while he matched his career-best of two goals.
- St. Mary's improves to 4-0 all-time against the Cavaliers, meeting for the first time since 2005. The Seahawks have outscored Cabrini, 14-2, in those four contests.
