How it Happened
-
The Seahawks and Chargers went into the intermission tied at zero a piece in what was a very evenly contested first half.Â
-
The Chargers had a slight edge in shots, outshooting the Seahawks 5-4.Â
-
Kylie Wells had two saves to begin the game.
-
The Seahawks had their best chance to get on the board with about three minutes left in the opening half when Ella Raines was able to take advantage of a charger mishandle in their own defensive end. Raines got behind the entire defense and had a one-on-one with the Charger goalie inside the box. Raines saw her shot just catch the right leg of the goalkeeper and ricochet away from the goal.
-
Lancaster Bible got on the board quickly in the second half. Kendall Ream was able to get behind the Seahawks defense and place a shot in the bottom left hand corner after some great team passing.Â
-
Despite holding the Chargers scoreless the remainder of the half, the Seahawks would fall 1-0.
