St. Mary's College Women's Soccer Plays Penn State Harrisburg to 0-0 Draw

Harrisburg, PA. - The St. Mary's College of Maryland Women's Soccer Team (13-1-3) traveled to Penn State Harrisburg (7-4-5) for a pivotal United East Conference Matchup. The Seahawks and Lions played to a 0-0 tie. 

How it Happened

  • The Seahawks did not record a shot over the first half of action. 

  • The Lions were able to generate a little bit more offense, attempting four shots. Penn State Harrisburg put two of those shots on goal. 

  • Kyleigh Bland picked up two first half saves for St. Mary's.

  • Ashlyn Bonner recorded the first shot of the afternoon for the Seahawks in the 60th minute. Bonner was able to put it on goal, but could not put it past the Lion goalkeeper. 

  • Brooke Hall had the final quality chance of the game to put the Seahawks up one, but saw her shot go wide left in the 81st minute. 

  • Penn State Harrisburg put two of their five second half shots on goal, with two going on goal. 

  • Kyleigh Bland picked up another two saves in the second half, as the Seahawks and Lions ended the game at 0-0.
