Williamsport, PA- The St. Mary's College of Maryland Volleyball team (16-10) traveled to Penn College for their second to last contest of the season. The Seahawks defeated the Wildcats 3-0 to move to 8-1 in conference play.

How it Happened

• The Seahawks gained full control of the first set after a six point run gave them a 13-5 lead. Julia Bobrowski and Grace Gilmore each recorded two kills over that stretch. St. Mary's kept their foot on the gas and went on another run, this time scoring six unanswered. Julia Bobrowski continued to make plays near the net. The Seahawks capitalized on numerous Wildcat errors, winning set one by a final score of 25-9.

• St. Mary's kept the momentum going to begin the second set. The Seahawks claimed an 11-1 lead over the Wildcats. Bobrowski continued to be a factor, as she started the set with four kills and two service aces. Maya Mauro also chipped in two kills over that run. Penn College began to find their groove, but it was too little too late. St. Mary's scored the last five points of the set to win 25-13 and take a 2-0 lead in the match. 

• The last set was more of the same for the Seahawks. St. Mary's extended their lead to double digits, racing out to a 16-4 lead. From that point on, St. Mary's never saw their lead slip to less than 11. They took the third set 25-12 and the match 3-0.
