Collegeville, Pa. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's indoor track and field team travelled to Collegeville, Pa. for the Bow Tie Invitational hosted by Ursinus College.  The Seahawks were one of thirteen colleges to compete in their opening campaign, breaking two school records along the way.
 
How It Happened:

• First-year Rocksann Smith earned 5^th in the 60m dash with a time of 8.49.
• The top three Seahawks in the 200m were led by Rocksann Smith earning 2^nd with a time of 28.03.   First-year Oluwadamilola Akinsanya followed with a 13^th place finish at 29.72. Chloe Tolson rounded out the top three with a 24^th finish with a time of 32.65.
• Two Seahawks competed in the 400m event, lead by 5^th place Oluwadamilola Akinsanya in 1:08.53. Chloe Tolson followed with a 7^th place finish in 1:14.14.
• The top three performers in the 800m run were led by first-year Mileah Cotton taking 1^st place in a time of 2:30.61. Brittney Douglas followed right behind earning 2^nd place with a finish of 2:32.97.  Avery Arizzi closed in with a time of 2:38.97 to earn 7^th.
• Betsy Robey notched a strong performance to lead the Seahawks in the 1 Mile, breaking St. Mary's school record and finishing with a personal record of 5:40.33. Mileah Cotton finished just behind with a time of 5:40.82 earning 5^th. Brittney Douglas closed out the Seahawks with a 9^th place finish in 5:56.02.
• The 3000 meter was led by first-year Macy Woroniecki taking 5^th in a time of 11:57.41. Closing behind was Betsy Robey earning 6^th place with 12:14.93.
• Macy Woroniecki took 18^th in a strong field for the 5000 meter event in 20:05.52. Setting a personal record was Weiya Carter earning 25^th in a time of 21:50.64.
• The top 4x400 meter relay squad of Oluwadamilola Akinsanya, Brittney Douglas, Mileah Cotton, and Rocksann Smith earned 1^st with a time of 4:28.84.
• Rocksann Smith finished in 3^rd with a height of 1.45 meters in the High Jump event.
• The top three Seahawks in the Shot Put were led by 3^rd place finisher Jillian Zukley with a throw of 11.83 meters.  Taking 13^th was Rocksann Smith with a throw of 8.08 meters, followed by 19^th Selina Sosa with 6.05 meters.
• Jillian Zukley broke the St. Mary's school record in the Weight Throw with a personal record throw of 11.27 meters. Selina Sosa and Jessica Satz finished with 11^th place at 6.05 meters and 12^th place at 5.32 meters respectively.
