Tourangeau Selected as United East Women’s Track Athlete of the Week

LATHAM, N.Y. – Sophomore Gracie Tourangeau (Sykesville, Md./Century) of the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's outdoor track & field team claimed the United East Conference Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award as released by the league office Tuesday morning (April 28). This is Tourangeau's first-ever weekly outdoor track honor.
 
Tourangeau ran a 58.55 as she anchored the record-setting 4x400m relay at the Penn Relays (April 24) hosted by the University of Pennsylvania at Franklin Field. St. Mary's College clocked a 3:58.39 to finish sixth out of 16 teams, qualifying for the College Women's 4x400m Eastern finals. The Seahawks eclipsed the previous record of 4:11.74 set on March 20, 2026 at the University of Richmond Fred Hardy Invite.
 
SMCM currently holds the fastest 4x400m relay time in the United East and ranks fifth in the Division III Mid-Atlantic Region. St. Mary's College also qualified for the 2026 All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Outdoor Championships on May 13-14.
 
The Seahawks, the defending conference champions, will be back in action at the 2026 United East Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships this weekend, May 2-3, at Keystone College in La Plume, Pa.
