LATHAM, N.Y. – Junior
Jillian Zukley (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) of the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's outdoor track & field team was named the United East Conference Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week as released by the league office Tuesday morning (April 21). This is Zukley's fourth career outdoor field athlete of the week award.
Zukley won two events and took second in another at the Stevenson University Mustang Stampede Invitational (April 18). The 6-3 thrower captured the hammer throw with 41.12m while winning the shot put with a season-best 11.43m. Her shot put throw ranks 14th in the Division III Mid-Atlantic Region and second in the league. She also came in second in the discus throw with 32.91m.
St. Mary's College will be back in action Friday, April 24 at the Penn Relays hosted by the University of Pennsylvania at Franklin Field.
Rocksann Smith will compete in the javelin throw at 5:15 pm while the 4x100m relay will run at 7:35 pm.
