St. Mary's City, MD-- The St. Mary's College of Maryland Women's Basketball Team (6-3) hosted Cedar Crest College (1-4) for another United East Conference Basketball Contest. The Seahawks used an explosive fourth quarter offensively to storm past the Falcons, 84-66.Â

The Seahawks jumped out to a 17-9 lead after the first quarter of play. Sam Blaylock contributed seven points in the quarter, including a three pointer. Olivia Liszt contributed six points of her own as well.Â

Cedar Crest bounced back in the second quarter, out scoring St. Mary's 19-12. The Falcons trailed the Seahawks by one going into the break. Olivia Liszt continued to be a force offensively, chipping in another six points before the half. Tramarie Mobray began to get things offensively as well, adding five points for the Seahawks.Â

St. Mary's and Cedar Crest played a balanced third quarter that saw them knotted at 51 at the finish. The Falcons took the lead and extended it to as much as seven, but the Seahawks were able to storm back and even retake the lead for a short stretch largely thanks to the strong play of Ji-Young Hartman. Hartman knocked down a crucial three pointer that swung the momentum fully back in favor of the Seahawks.Â

The fourth quarter played out to be a dominant one for St. Mary's. The Seahawks outscored the Falcons 33-15 over the final 10 minutes. St. Mary's shot 50% from the field and an even more impressive 57% from behind the three point line. The Seahawks also managed to have eight players record a point in one of their most dominant stretches of basketball this season. The Seahawks took home the win, 84-66.Â
