St. Mary's City, MD – The St. Mary's College of Maryland Women's Tennis Team (4-4) faced off against the Penn State Abington Nittany Lions in a United East Conference Matchup. The Seahawks downed the Nittany Lions 7-1.

Cleopatra Solomon defeated her Nittany Lion opponent in the number one singles match, 6-2, 6-4.

Emily Shioutakon kept the momentum going in the number two singles contest, winning 7-5, 6-0.

Giselle Harris won 6-0 in both sets of the number three singles match.

Lauren Lovejoy was defeated 5-2 in one set of the number four singles contest.

Melak Armstrong earned a hard fought victory in the number five singles match. Armstrong dropped the first set 6-1, but bounced back to win the second set 6-1 and the third set 6-3.

Blessing Samuel picked up a win by default in the number six singles contest.
