Mortimer Named to IWLCA Senior All-Star Team

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – MC Mortimer '24 (Baltimore, Md./Friends) was named to the 2024 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Senior All-Star South Team as announced by the IWLCA Wednesday afternoon (May 29).
 
Mortimer will be wearing No. 12 when she takes the field this Saturday, June 1, at 3 pm on Tierney Field at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. Admission for the game is free of charge. Please note that the Senior All-Star game will not be streamed.
 
The 5-7 midfielder started all 19 20 contests this season as the Seahawks three-peated as the United East Conference Women's Lacrosse regular-season and tournament champions while advancing to the second round of the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament for the second time in three years.
 
In her final campaign as a Seahawk, Mortimer ranked fifth in the United East with a team third-best 21 assists while ranking fourth for the Seahawks with 40 points. She added 20 ground balls, 19 goals, 10 caused turnovers, and four draw controls.
 
Mortimer wrapped up her SMCM career as a two-time consecutive All-United East selection, making the First Team in 2023 and Second Team in 2024.
 
As a midfielder, she finished her four-year career with 133 points on 72 goals and 61 assists while contributing 83 loose ball pickups, 62 draw controls, and 49 caused turnovers. Mortimer tallied her 100th career point with a three-point performance on February 24 against Trinity Washington University.
