INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's lacrosse team was part of the 46-team field for the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament as announced by the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Committee Monday morning.
This is St. Mary's College's 11th bid, and third consecutive, to the NCAA Tournament.
The Seahawks will begin their NCAA journey on Saturday, May 11, taking on Grove City College in first-round action on the campus of Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa.

Tickets will be $10 for adults and $5 for seniors, students, and children. You can purchase tickets on site outside the gates of Shadek Stadium.
The Seahawks notched the United East Conference's automatic qualification (AQ) with a 20-4 win over No. 3 seed Wilson College in the championship game on May 4. Grove City, who is making its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament, took down No. 1 seed Washington & Jefferson College, 13-10, as the No. 3 seed for the Presidents' Athletic Conference title and AQ.
In SMCM's previous 10 trips (1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2008, 2016, 2022, 2023), St. Mary's College owns a 4-10 postseason record and advanced as far as the regional finals (third round) in 2002. The program's first-ever NCAA Tournament win was an 11-8 first-round win over Washington & Lee University in 1998.
Last season, the Seahawks came up short in a 13-2 loss to Messiah University in first-round action.
Saturday's winner will take on No. 3 Franklin & Marshall, who earned a first-round bye, on Sunday, May 12, at 3 p.m. in the second round.
Sunday's winner will advance to one of four regional sites on Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19.
The four regional winners will then head to the semifinals, which will occur on Friday, May 24, at 12 and 3 pm while the championship game will be on Sunday, May 26, at 12 pm. Thos semifinal and championship games will be held at Kerr Stadium in Salem, Virginia, and will be live streamed on
