St. Mary’s College Men’s Soccer Falls to Dickinson

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's soccer team wrapped up the Seahawk Classic Sunday afternoon (Sept. 8). St. Mary's College (1-2-1) dropped a 3-0 decision to Dickinson College (4-0-0) as the Red Devils captured the Seahawk Classic trophy.
 
How It Happened
  • The Seahawks came out of the gate attacking right away, testing Aidan George and the Dickinson defensive line with four shots (two on goal) and four corner kicks.
  • Nicholas Dwamena launched a shot from just inside the 50-yard line to give the Red Devils a 1-0 lead in the 30th minute.
  • Dickinson doubled its lead in the 41st minute when Timi Omoniwa put in a loose ball just inside the near post.
  • SMCM began the second half by peppering George with four shots (two on target) in the first 10 minutes.
  • The Red Devils stretched their advantage to 3-0 at 63:45 as Saul Iwowo assisted on Luke Beiles' second goal of the season.
  • St. Mary's College continued battling but were unable to put one past George and Gavin Marr.
