St. Mary's City, Md. – October 18, 2025 – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's soccer team celebrated Senior Day in style on Saturday evening, rolling to a 4-0 shutout victory over Cairn University in United East Conference action at Jamie L. Roberts Stadium.
With the win, the Seahawks improved to 10-4-2 overall and 7-0-0 in United East play, maintaining their perfect conference record and securing at least a share of first place in the United East standings.
St. Mary's wasted no time taking control, scoring twice in the first 23 minutes. Ella Raines opened the scoring in the 20th minute with a composed finish to the far post, while Allie Petryszak doubled the lead just three minutes later off a perfectly placed cross from Ashlyn Bonner.
In the second half, the Seahawks continued to press forward, extending their advantage in the 55th minute when Erin Clark converted from the penalty spot. Mia McKenzie capped the scoring in the 69th minute, slotting home a pass from Felicia Fishburne to make it 4–0.
The Seahawks dominated all facets of play, outshooting Cairn 29-3 and earning a 13-1 advantage in corner kicks. Goalkeeper Kyleigh Bland posted another shutout, making two saves to preserve the clean sheet.
The win marked a fitting sendoff for the Seahawks' senior class, honored prior to kickoff for their leadership and contributions to the program.
St. Mary's will now turn its attention to Penn State Abington, traveling to face the Nittany Lions on Tuesday, October 21 at 3:00 p.m. in another key United East matchup.
