Fredericksburg, Va. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's soccer team returned to nonconference action Saturday, falling 4–0 to Mary Washington at Roy Gordon Field.
Goalkeeper Breanna Brown turned in a strong performance between the posts, making 16 saves while facing a total of 37 shots from the Eagles. Rebecca Flom recorded the lone shot on goal for the Seahawks.
Mary Washington took a 1–0 lead into halftime before adding three more in the second half to secure the result. The Eagles held a 14–2 advantage in corner kicks and maintained extended periods of attacking possession.
St. Mary's will look to bounce back when the Seahawks return home to face Salisbury University on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at Jamie L. Roberts Stadium.
