St. Mary’s College Women’s Soccer Dominates Keystone in 10-0 Victory

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's soccer team delivered a commanding performance on Saturday afternoon, rolling past Keystone College, 10-0, in United East Conference play at Jamie L. Roberts Stadium. With the win, the Seahawks improve to 6-4-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play, while the Giants fall to 0-8-2 (0-3 United East).

The Seahawks exploded for nine first-half goals and cruised to their third straight conference shutout. Gracie Tourangeau got the scoring started less than a minute into the match, finishing a feed from Makayla Marvray. Tourangeau struck again just 45 seconds later off a pass from Keira O'Neail to make it 2-0.

From there, the floodgates opened. Marvray found the back of the net in the fourth and 11th minutes, while O'Neail, Felicia Fishburne, Julia Kleine, Hayden Legg, and Lillee Covington each added first-half goals to give St. Mary's a commanding 9-0 lead at the break. Chekesa Sife led the way with two assists, while Brooke Hall, Ashlyn Bonner, Maddison Spradlin, and Daisy Pugh each tallied one.

The Seahawks capped the scoring in the 78th minute when Legg netted her second goal of the afternoon off a setup from Pugh. In total, 10 different Seahawks recorded a goal or assist in the dominant offensive display.

Defensively, Kyleigh Bland and Breanna Brown combined for the shutout as St. Mary's limited Keystone to just one shot all match.

The Seahawks return to action on Tuesday, October 7, when they travel to face Notre Dame (Md.) in conference play. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
