ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – First-year guard
Korey Blair (Baltimore, Md./Overlea) poured in a career-best 18 points in leading the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's basketball team Saturday afternoon (Nov. 22). St. Mary's College (2-3) suffered its second straight loss, falling 67-55 to Stevenson University (5-0) in non-conference action.
How It Happened
- The Seahawks used a 14-4 run to stake a 20-12 lead with 9:40 left in the first half as first-year forward Evan Quintero (Fallston, Md./Gilman) capped the run with a three-point shot for the home team's biggest advantage of the game.
- Stevenson responded with a run of its own, outscoring the hosts 13-8 over the remainder of the half to head into the break down only three (28-25).
- The Mustangs opened the second half with an 8-2 push to permanently take over the lead as SU went on to build a 19-point margin with 4:14 remaining in regulation.
- Senior captain Jake Koverman (Severna Park, Md./Southern) scored six of the SMCM's final 10 points for the 67-55 final.

- St. Mary's College shot a season-low 33.9-percent from the field for the game. The Seahawks knocked down seven three-pointers in the first half but then went 0-for-10 over the final 20 minutes.
- Stevenson outrebounded SMCM, 38-33, and notched 17 points off 13 Seahawk miscues. The Mustangs also posted a 42-20 margin in paint points.

- Quintero finished the game with 12 points while sophomore James Crimaudo (Riva, Md./South River) added 10 points and a game-best eight rebounds.
- Blair also tallied a career-high two steals.
Stevenson Game Notes
- Today's victory snaps an 11-game skid for the Mustangs against St. Mary's College, marking Stevenson's first win since a 58-57 victory on SU's home court on Feb. 9, 2004.
- Kendall Seguignol came off the bench to lead SU with 17 points, seven boards, and three assists.
