GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's basketball team (1–1) closed out the Gwynedd Mercy Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday afternoon, falling 90–56 to Widener University (2–0) in the championship game at Gwynedd Mercy University.

The Seahawks opened with energy, taking an early 2–0 lead on a layup by senior guard Tramarie Mobray (Glen Burnie, Md.), and trailed by just six after the first quarter, 22–16.

Widener used a strong second quarter to extend its lead, outscoring St. Mary's 24–14 and taking a 46–30 advantage into halftime.

Despite a solid third period where the Seahawks shot 50% from the floor and put up 18 points, Widener maintained its momentum behind hot shooting from tournament MVP Mia Robbins, who finished with 31 points on 12-of-13 shooting.

The Pride closed the game on a 22–8 run to secure the 90–56 final.
