St. Mary's City, MD-- The St. Mary's College of Maryland Women's Basketball Team (13-7) kept United East Conference play going with a home matchup against Wilson College (7-14). The Seahawks defeated the Phoenix 83-47.Â

The Seahawks led the Phoenix 23-16 after a fast paced first quarter of play. St. Mary's took control of the momentum after back to back three pointers from Marley Saunders and Olivia Liszt. Marley Saunders went on to hit another three pointer in the quarter as well.   Â

St. Mary's took control of the game after a 12-0 run that spanned the majority of the second quarter. Keira Mason and Olivia Liszt were the major offensive contributors over that run. The Seahawks led 41-28 after a Tramarie Mobray free throw closed out a great first half for St. Mary's.Â

The start of the second half proved to be more of the same for the Seahawks. St. Mary's outscored Wilson 20-8 over the third quarter. Marley Saunders continued to be red hot from three, chipping in another two triples in the quarter. Tramarie Mobray had a nice quarter making things happen in the paint and from the free throw line as well.Â

St. Mary's used the fourth quarter to put the finishing touches on a 83-47 victory. Sam Blaylock put in seven points in the quarter as the Seahawks kept their foot on the gas until the final whistle.Â
