Preis Breaks Assist Record as Hampden-Sydney Squeaks Past Seahawks Men’s Lacrosse

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. – Senior attackman Keegan Preis (Upper Falls, Md./Loyola Blakefield) became the school's all-time assists leader, but the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's lacrosse team saw their two-game win streak snapped Saturday afternoon (Mar. 1). St. Mary's College (2-2) came up short in a 10-9 non-conference road loss to Hampden-Sydney College (3-1) as H-SC's Broder Conley netted both the game-tying and game-winning goals in the final 39 seconds of the game.

Preis entered today's game tied with Jude Brown '22, who finished his career with a program-best 136 assists. With his first assist of the game in the fourth quarter, Preis broke the tie and overtook Brown as the all-time assists leader. Preis finished the game with two helpers and now has 138 career dimes.
