ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – Senior
Aiden Doyle (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) found the back of the net six times Saturday afternoon (March 22) to become the all-time goal scorer of the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's lacrosse program.

Keegan Preis (Upper Falls, Md./Loyola Blakefield) combined for 12 goals and 11 assists to lead St. Mary's College (6-3, 1-0 UEC) to a dominating 26-7 United East Conference opening victory over Penn College (6-3, 0-1 UEC).
Career Milestones
- Doyle accomplished not one but two milestones this afternoon. He needed six goals to break Dave Mueller '06 all-time goals record of 133 and the 6-5 attackman did just that with his sixth goal of the afternoon in the fourth quarter. Doyle is now the all-time goals leader with 134 and counting.
- Doyle also needed nine points to eclipse the 200-point career mark, and he finished with a career-best 12 points on six goals and a career-high six assists. He now owns 203 career points with at least seven games left in the season.
- Preis also notched two career milestones of his own. The 6-0 attackman came in needing three points for his 200th career point as well as three assists for his 150th career assist. Preis easily surpassed both with a six-goal, five-assist performance today. Already the all-time assists leader, he now stands with 208 points and 152 assists.
- Senior captain Nate Hochrein (Baltimore, Md./Towson) joined the party as well as Hochrein entered Saturday's game needing just two points to collect his 100th career point. The 6-4 midfielder finished the game with four points on three goals and one assist for 102 career points.
How It Happened
- The Seahawks held a 9-5 lead with 7:18 left in the first half after Elliot Dotson scored an unassisted goal to pull Penn College within four.
- The floodgates opened after that as SMCM broke the game wide open with a 17-0 run over the next 29 minutes, claiming a 26-5 advantage with 6:46 left in the game.

- St. Mary's College posted a 58-27 (37-12 on goal) shot advantage as well as a +12-turnover margin (17-29). The Seahawk defense had a season-best performance, causing 20 of Penn College's 29 turnovers.
- SMCM also gained a 43-27 margin in ground balls as junior Matteo Ciccarello (Crofton, Md./Arundel) scooped up a game-best nine loose balls.
- Ciccarello went 18-for-29 at the X as the Seahawks finished the game winning 20-of-37 face-offs.
St. Mary's College Game Notes
- Senior midfielder Jake Levey (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) contributed four goals and an assist while sophomore Gavin McKay (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) added two goals and one helper.
- Sophomore attackman Blane Dail (Forest Hill, Md./C. Milton Wright) notched two goals for the third time this season.
- Defensemen Jeremy Heath (Chester, Md./Kent Island) and Adam Martin (Kent Island, Md./Kent Island) each tallied a career-best four caused turnovers while sophomore defensive midfielder Will Hock (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) picked up a career-best seven ground balls.
- Senior Cullen McKay (Urbana, Md./Urbana) made four saves and scooped up one ground ball in 47:56 minutes, improving to 6-2 on the season.
Penn College Game Notes
- Elliot Dotson paced the Wildcats with two goals and an assist while Owen Kupsey scored twice.
- Ryan Twist came up with 11 stops and a ground ball as Penn College had its six-game win streak snapped.
