New Women's '25 DIII Records Set at Seahawk Invitational

St. Mary's City, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's outdoor track and field team hosted the 2025 Seahawk Invitational on senior day at the Jamie L. Roberts Stadium. The Seahawks competed against Division II and III teams alongside unattached athletes, setting new '25 DIII records along the way.
 
How It Happened:
  • The 100-meter dash prelims saw five Seahawks compete, with Rocksann Smith leading the way in 12.92 earning a qualification to the finals, and setting a new '25 DIII #86 record at time of writing.  Tramarie Mobray also qualified for the finals with a time of 13.96. Saffiyah Gibson and Jessica Satz both earned personal records in 13.98 and 15.81 respectively. Kayla Thomas rounded out the five Seahawks in a time of 17.37 for a personal best.
  • The 100-meter finals concluded with Rocksann Smith earning a 5th place finish in 12.94 and Tramarie Mobray in 7th with 13.98.
  • Keira Mason led six Seahawks in the 200-meter dash in a finish of 28.57 in 3rd place. Earning personal records include Tramarie Mobray in 28.80, Chloe Tolson in 28.83, Grace Hountangni in 33.14, and Kayla Thomas in 36.42.
  • Six Seahawks competed in the 400-meter event led by Avery Arizzi earning 2nd with a time of 1:03.06. Chloe Tolson finished behind in 3rd place in a time of 1:08.17. Rounding out the top three is Dami Akinsanya in 4th place in a time of 1:09.6. The last Seahawk in 8th place was Grace Hountangni finish in 1:16.12 and personal record.
  • Chay'La Rivers and Dina Jones competed in the 400-meter Hurdles.  Rivers and Jones finished in 3rd and 4th place respectively, in times of 1:24.03 and 1:25.02 respectively.
  • The 800-meter run saw two Seahawks, led by Mileah Cotton in 2nd with a time of 2:26.24 for a personal outdoor best. Macy Woroniecki followed after with a personal best of 2:36.92 for a 3rd place finish.
  • Mileah Cotton earned 1st in the Women's 1500 meter in a time of 4:59.43, earning an outdoor debut.  Macy Woroniecki finished just behind in 3rd place also setting a personal outdoor best of 5:15.01. Ariana Lecouras rounded out the Seahawks in 5:55.73 for a 4th place finish.
  • Ella Mitchell led the Seahawks in the 5000m event. Mitchell finished in 2nd in a time of 20:43.76 for a personal best. Folling behind is Ariana Lecouras and Alexis Hodges in 23:23.51 and 26:28.75 respectively.
  • The Women's 4x100m Relay Squad of Chay'La Rivers, Dami Akinsanya, Tramarie Mobray, and Rocksann Smith set a St. Mary's school record, and new '25 DIII #61 record with a time of 52:08.
  • The 4x400 meter relay squad 'A' of Dami Akinsanya, Avery Arizzi, Chloe Tolson, and Mileah Cotton set a new '25 DIII #65 record with their time of 4:39.27.
  • Keira Mason competed in the Long Jump, finishing in 3rd with a distance of 4.71m, a personal best.
  • All four Seahawks placed in the finals in the Shot Put event, led by 1st place finish Jillian Zukley with a throw of 11.4m. Halimah Hajhassan earned a personal record with a throw of 8.93m. Safi Stimely threw 8.88m.  Jessica Satz earned a personal outdoor best with 7.72m
  • All six Seahawks qualified for the finals in the Discus Throw. Jillian Zukley led the way in 1st place with a throw of 32.45m Safi Stimely earned 3rd with a throw of 28.82m. Jessica Satz rounded out the top three Seahawks in 5th place with a distance of 21.21m and a personal best.
  • Four Seahawks competed in the Hammer Throw. Jillian Zukley threw 37.16m for a 1st place finish. Fladaina Bruno threw a personal record of 34.48m in 3rd. Safi Stimley finished with 28.85m. Selina Sosa threw for 24.37m.
  • Rocksann Smith led the Seahawks in Javelin Throw with a 2nd place finish of 28.96m. Safi Stimely took 3rd with 19.38m. Tramarie Mobray earned a personal best of 17.43m in 4th place.
