St. Mary's City, MD-- The St. Mary's College of Maryland Baseball Team (9-10) welcomed the Ravens of Rosemont University (11-19) for a Wednesday United East Conference contest. The Seahawks defeated the Ravens 10-4.. 

How It Happened 

• The Seahawks got the scoring going in the bottom of the first. George Berbakos connected on an RBI double to give St. Mary's a 1-0 lead. 

• Rosemont responded with a run of their own in the top of the second. 

• St. Mary's scored four more runs in the bottom of the third. Avery Sims was able to score on a wild pitch to kick off the scoring run. Ian Walters recorded a sacrifice fly for the second run of the inning. Rhett Fletcher grounded into a fielder's choice to score another runner just before Corey Brown tripled for the fourth and final run of the inning. 

• The Seahawks scored two more runs in the bottom of the fifth to really start pulling away. Layne Lesko and Eli Shafer were both walked with the bases loaded to give St. Mary's a 7-1 lead. 

• The Ravens added one run in the top of the seventh. 

• Three more runs for the Seahawks were scored in the bottom of the eighth. Cole Tarleton and Rhett Fletcher both connected on RBI singles. Tarleton's scored one, while Fletcher's scored two. 

• Rosemont scored two runs in the top of the ninth, but the Seahawks were able to slam the door shut and go on to win 10-4. 

Inside the Box Score 

• Trevor Smith contributed three hits.. 

• Rhett Fletcher knocked in three RBI's. 

• Jack Overton pitched five innings and gave up one earned run. Anthony Walsh, Willie Nelson, Logan Connolly, and Colin Patterson all pitched an inning for the Seahawks.
