Baltimore, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's outdoor track and field team travelled to Baltimore, Md. to take part in the Hopkins/Loyola Invite. The Seahawks competed against Division I, II, and III teams alongside unattached track clubs.
How It Happened:
- The 100-meter dash saw three Seahawks compete. Rocksann Smith led the way in 13.03. Jessica Satz finished in a time of 16.11. Kayla Thomas set a personal best with a time of 16.39.
- Avery Arizzi led five Seahawks in the 200-meter dash in a finish of 28.04. Tramarie Mobray followed after in 28.96. Earning personal bests were Saffiyah Gibson in 29.16, Grace Hountangni in 32.19, and Kayla Thomas in 34.97.
- Six Seahawks competed in the 400-meter event led by Avery Arizzi in 16th with a time of 1:02.39. Chloe Tolson took the Seahawks 2nd finish in 1:07.55. Earning personal bests were Dami Akinsanya and Ji-Young Hartman in 1:08.93 and 1:10.18 respectively.
- Dina Jones led the two Seahawks in the 400-meter Hurdles in a 16th finish in 1:25.10. Earning an outdoor debut was Ellie Geiger in 17th finish in 1:32.30.
- The 800-meter run saw Mileah Cotton with a time of 2:23.95 for a personal best. Alexis Hodges followed after in a personal best of 3:07.17.
- Alexis Hodges earned a time of 6:14.85 in the 1500m for a personal record. Ellie Geiger followed after in 6:23.42 for an outdoor debut.
- The women's 5k event saw two personal records. Ella Mitchell finished in 12th place in a time of 19:46.91. Following just behind in 13th place was Macy Woroniecki in 19:51.93.
- The 4x100m relay squad of Saffiyah Gibson, Dami Akinsanya, Tramarie Mobray, and Rocksann Smith set a St. Mary's school record with a finish of 52:07.
- The 4x400m relay squad of Chloe Tolson, Mileah Cotton, Ji-Young Hartman, and Dina Jones combined for a time of 4:33.34.
- Saffiyah Gibson had an outdoor debut in the Long Jump, going a distance of 4.16 meters.
- Rocksann Smith earned an outdoor debut and a St. Mary's school record in the Triple Jump with a jump of 10.26m.
- The Shot Put event for the three Seahawks was led by 6th place finish Jillian Zukley with a throw of 10.91m. Halimah Hajhassan threw for 7.35m. Fladaina Bruno rounded out the Seahawks with a throw of 6.40m.
- Safi Stimely led the way for the Seahawks in the Discus Throw, earning a distance of 30.83m. Fladaina Bruno followed after with a throw of 23.86m for a personal best.
- The Hammer Throw saw three Seahawks compete in the finals. Jillian Zukley threw a distance of 37.80m for a 6th place finish. Earning personal bests were Fladaina Bruno and Safi Stimely throwing 35.32 meters in 7th place and 35.10 meters in 8th place respectively.
- The Javelin Throw had three Seahawks compete. Tramarie Mobray threw a distance of 20.86m for a personal record. Halimah Hajhassan earned a personal best with a distance of 15.97m. Rounding out the Seahawks was Jessica Satz with a throw of 14.21m.
