Rosemont, PA-- The St. Mary's College of Maryland Baseball Team (10-12) traveled to Pennsylvania for a United East Conference Matchup with the Rosemont Ravens (12-22). The Seahawks sprinted past the Ravens in a seven inning game, winning 20-9. Â
How It Happened

St. Mary's came out of the gates hot, scoring four runs in the bottom of the first. Eli Shafer scored the first run unearned before Ian Walters blasted an RBI double to score three.Â

Rosemont responded with seven runs in the bottom of the first.Â

The Seahawks scored one unearned run in the top of the second.

St. Mary's got back to work in the top of the third. Corey Brown blasted a three run homer to give the Seahawks back the lead at 8-7.Â

The Seahawks scored two more runs in the top of the fourth to make in a 10-8 game. Trevor Smith chipped in an RBI single while Corey Brown scored a runner on a sacrifice fly ball.Â

St. Mary's dominated the fifth and sixth innings offensively, scoring a combined 10 runs over those two innings. Cole Tarleton made the splash play over that stretch, knocking a three run homer in the top of the sixth inning. Tarleton connected on an RBI single the previous inning as well.Â

The Seahawks went on to win 20-9.Â
