Washington, D.C. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's outdoor track and field team travelled to Washington, D.C. to compete at the two-day event United East Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Thomas O. Berg Track hosted by Gallaudet University. The Seahawks brought home the championship title with 225 points, competing against 9 other institutions.
The women's track & field team win their first United East Conference Outdoor Championship Title.

How It Happened:
- The 100m dash prelims had four Seahawks compete. Rocksann Smith and Saffiyah Gibson both earned qualifying times into the finals in 12.99 and 13.93 respectively.
- The 100-meter dash finals had Rocksann Smith lead the way in 13.06 for a 3rd place finish. Saffiyah Gibson followed after with a personal record of 13.77.
- Rocksann Smith led the two Seahawks in the 100-meter Hurdles. Smith earned a 1st place finish in 17.43. Dina Jones took 3rd in 21.16
- Eight Seahawks competed in the 200m prelims. Rocksann Smith led the way in an outdoor debut with a time of 27.22. Avery Arizzi followed behind in 28.42 with a finals qualifying time. Tramarie Mobray and Grace Hountangni earned personal bests in 28.57 and 32.17 respectively.
- Rocksann Smith took 3rd in the 200-meter dash finals in 27.27. Avery Arizzi followed after in 29.95.
- Five Seahawks competed in the 400m event led by Avery Arizzi in 1st place with a St. Mary's school record and personal best in 1:00.85. Chloe Tolson took 4th in 1:06.13. Earning personal bests were Dami Akinsanya and Ji-Young Hartman in 1:08.06 and 1:09.66 respectively.
- Dina Jones led the two Seahawks in the 400-meter Hurdles in a 2nd finish in 1:17.95. Earning a personal best was Ellie Geiger in 5th finish in 1:28.06.
- The 800-meter run had the top three finishes swept by the Seahawks. Mileah Cotton finished in 1st in 2:24.25 for a new United East conference record. Macy Woroniecki earned a personal best in 2nd in 2:35.57. Avery Arizzi took 3rd in 2:37.27.
- The 1500m had three personal bests set for the Seahawks. Mileah Cotton finished 1st in 4:59.61. Macy Woroniecki took 2nd in 5:12.12. Ariana Lecouras finished in 5th place in 5:31.75.
- Ellie Geiger ran the 3k Steeple event, taking 3rd place in 15:30.15.
- The women's 5000m had three Seahawks compete. Ella Mitchell finished in 1st in a time of 19:55.12. Following behind was Ariana Lecouras in 4th in 22:14.02 and Macy Woroniecki in 5th in 22:37.92.
- Two Seahawks ran the 10,000-meter event, led by Ella Mitchell in 1st place with a personal best of 42:57.26, and set a new United East conference record. Alexis Hodges took 3rd place in 54:35.66.
- The 4x100m relay squad of Saffiyah Gibson, Dami Akinsanya, Tramarie Mobray, and Rocksann Smith set a St. Mary's school record with a finish of 51.70.
- The 4x400m relay squad of Avery Arizzi, Dami Akinsanya, Mileah Cotton, and Chloe Tolson combined for a time of 4:17.31.
- Rocksann Smith set a St. Mary's school record in the Long Jump with a jump of 5.22 meters, earning a 1st place finish. Saffiyah Gibson earned a personal best with a jump of 4.33m.
- Rocksann Smith earned a St. Mary's school record in the Triple Jump with a jump of 10.77m.
- Rocksann Smith rounded out the jumping events with a height of 1.44m in the High Jump event, earning 2nd place.
- The Shot Put event for the six Seahawks was led by 3rd place finish Jillian Zukley with a throw of 10.77m. Earning personal bests were Rocksann Smith, Safi Stimely, and Fladaina Bruno with throws on 9.76m, 9.69m, and 8.80m respectively.
- Jillian Zukley led the way for the five Seahawks in the Discus Throw, earning a distance of 30.59m. Safi Stimely and Fladaina Bruno followed after with throws of 28.18m and 22.53m respectively. Earning a personal best was Halimah Hajhassan with a throw of 17.07m.
- Jillian Zukley set a St. Mary's school record and United East conference record in the Hammer Throw, earning a 1st place finish with a distance of 45.04m. Safi Stimely threw for a distance of 32.94m.
- The Javelin Throw had five Seahawks compete. Rocksann Smith led the way with a throw of 29.77m. Tramarie Mobray earned a distance of 19.54m. Earning personal bests were Halimah Hajhassan and Jessica Satz with throws of 19.39m and 16.55m respectively.
