ASHLAND, Va. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland field hockey team returned to the win column Wednesday night (Sept. 17) with a non-conference road victory. How It Happened

- Junior forward Alyssa Riggleman (Sudlersville, Md./Queen Anne's County) fired SMCM's first shot of the game at 17:38 for Ambrogi-Torres' first save.
- Shots were equal in the third frame with each side taking six while Ambrogi-Torres came up with five saves and Kent made three to maintain the scoreless draw.
- Senior captain Emma Watkins (Frederick, Md./Linganore) finally broke through just over three minutes into the fourth stanza, finishing off a feed from senior midfielder Josie Shermeyer (Harrisburg, Pa./East Pennsboro Area).
- St. Mary's College doubled its advantage with 28 seconds left in the game as first-year midfielder Morgan Knott (Denton, Md./Caroline) scored her first goal as a Seahawk.
