CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's basketball team continued its dominant run through United East play Tuesday night, rolling past Wilson College, 109–50, at Gannett Field House.
The Seahawks (11-5, 5-0 United East) controlled the game from the opening tip, building a 24–8 lead after the first quarter and steadily extending the margin in each period. St. Mary's never trailed and closed the game with a 38-point fourth quarter to seal its largest conference win of the season.
St. Mary's showcased its depth with seven players scoring in double figures, led by Samantha Blaylock, who poured in 24 points on 9-of-13 shooting, including 6-of-10 from three-point range. Keira Mason added 16 points, five rebounds, and four assists, while Olivia Liszt finished with 15 points, three steals, and three assists.
Halimah Hajhassan and Saffiyah Gibson each scored eight points, while Marley Saunders chipped in seven points. Skylar Woodyard added six points and three rebounds in limited minutes, and Tramarie Mobray contributed nine points, six rebounds, and six assists.
The Seahawks shot 47.6 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from beyond the arc, while forcing 43 turnovers, which they converted into 49 points off turnovers. St. Mary's also dominated in transition, scoring 23 fast-break points, and finished with 75 bench points. The Seahawks surpassed the 100 point mark for the first time since February 18th, 2023 when they defeated Wells College.
Defensively, St. Mary's limited Wilson to 34.2 percent shooting and just two made three-pointers for the game.
Wilson (7-8, 2-3 United East) was led by Jewels Torres, who scored 21 points, but the Phoenix were unable to keep pace with the Seahawks' pressure and depth.
St. Mary's will return to action on Saturday, January 17th, when the Seahawks travel to Lancaster Bible in continued United East play.
