St. Mary's College (1-0) picked up a 12-7 non-conference victory over host Elizabethtown College (0-2).

How It Happened

  • The Blue Jays tallied the first goal of the second period to pull within one before junior Declan Horton (University Park, Md./DeMatha) and McKay returned a three-goal cushion with 8:11 left in the half. Elizabethtown responded with two of its own to close the gap to one once again at 4:51. Horton sent SMCM into halftime with a 6-4 advantage with his second unassisted goal.
  • St. Mary's College broke the game open with a five-goal third frame as sophomore attackman Owen Wynot (Kent Island, Md./Kent Island) fueled a 4-0 run with two goals, helping the visitors stake an 11-6 lead into the fourth quarter.
